#09 Hiking Jirisan mountain:

“The head does not hear anything until the heart has listened. The heart knows today what the head will understand tomorrow.”
~James Stevens

Top of Jirisan mountain (peak -1915 m) for the first time. The journey was wildly adventurous. Total trail distance was 20km. We began our trekking around 3:30 pm, as we started our hike lately, we had to hike 80% of the trail in the night with the headlight on, Can’t explain how hard and dangerous the trail was. We reached the shelter at 8 pm, slept only 3 hours. We started our second part of the trail at 2:50 am. Again hiking begins into the total darkness, this time the trail was more rocky and steep. Had only 3 hours left to reach a peak if we won’t see the sunrise. We hiked fast and finally got to the top. The wind was blowing so fast and the temperature was -2 at the peak, also we hadn’t enough warm clothes. We couldn’t stay long in the peak, the sun was covered by clouds, bad luck for us, Can’t see the sunrise but saw the clouds moving so fast over our head, fantastic view of the mountain. Took some pretty photos. Overall we had the most fun on hiking then reaching to the top.

When we arrived at Darien Falls (안 안 폭포) next to Chondong parking, it was 4 o’clock in the afternoon. We all had dinner together at Danyang train station.
